If you just have a day to spend in Negombo itself, there are some interesting places to visit. Here is the itinerary of a day-tour we offer inside and around Negombo. It is also a good starter for your first day in Sri Lanka after your arrival at Negombo airport.

8:00 am – Pickup from the hotel in Negombo.
8:30 am – Arrive at Negombo fish market and also visit the fishing harbor, Dutch Canal, Dutch Fort and Dutch Clock tower
10:30 am – Visit Muthurajawela Marsh, go on a boat ride.
01:30 pm – Do some shopping in Negombo Town and after have Sri Lankan Traditional lunch (Rice and Curry). I can accompany you to the shops if you so wish.
03:30 pm – Visit St. Mary’s church, some Hindu Temples and Angurukaramulla Buddhist Temple.
05:00 pm – Drop Off at the hotel in Negombo or Airport.
